Business Case for Antimicrobial Stewardship Programs

The AMMI Canada Antimicrobial Stewardship and Resistance Committee (ASRC) has authored a Business Case document for Antimicrobial Stewardship Programs.  The intent of this initiative is to facilitate healthcare leaders in acquiring the necessary resources from healthcare administrators to launch or improve their own antimicrobial stewardship programs.

AMMI Canada's Business Case for Antimicrobial Stewardship Programs in Acute Care, Cancer Care, Rehabilitation, and Complex Continuing Care consists of two  complementary files:  a Microsoft Word© document, and a Microsoft Excel© spreadsheet.

Click icons below to download the documents:

Please read through the documents carefully, bearing in mind the following:

AMMI Canada would really appreciate your feedback to know how widely this Business Case document is being used, and to find ways for us to improve future versions of the document. Here is the Business Case for Inpatient Antimicrobial Stewardship Programs in Acute Care, Cancer Care, Rehabilitation, and Complex Continuing Care survey.

We are considering these files “open source”:  you can use and customize these files as you see fit.  We only ask that you provide AMMI Canada with feedback on your experience with these files and their content, so that we can improve them for future users. Feedback can be submitted to AMMI Canada via email to Melanie Desjardins, Committee Coordinator, melanie@ammi.ca

AMMI Canada’s Antimicrobial Stewardship and Resistance Committee (ASRC) is made up of a group of volunteer members who work towards improving antimicrobial use and reducing or containing antimicrobial resistance.  These files were created by the ASRC.
