NEW REPORT RELEASE - The Canadian Agency for Drugs and Technologies in Health (CADTH) has released the following report: Polymerase Chain Reaction Tests for Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus aureus in Hospitalized Patients: Clinical and Cost-Effectiveness Analyses.

This report focuses on the introduction of PCR versus conventional (chromogenic agar) MRSA screening in hospitalized patients examining the effectiveness, current clinical practice guidelines, relevant planning considerations, and ethical issues that are faced by Canadian jurisdictions.
