CADTH recently worked with the World Health Organisation to produce this systematic review.  Published December 2011.

2. Vancomycin or Metronidazole for Treatment of Clostridium difficile Infection: Clinical and Economic Analyses.
This report examines first-line treatment using vancomycin or metronidazole for initial or recurrent moderate to severe Clostridium difficile infection.  Clinical, economic, and health services impact considerations are evaluated.  Published Jan 2011.
